Ya’arburnee

Two years ago today Nicholas asked me to marry him on the snowy banks of a whirling creek. I am so thankful I had the sense to accept his offer and start this wild ride called marriage with him. I was so unprepared for the depths of anger and forgiveness, hurt and love, and just plain fun this journey would bring.

Ya’arburnee- An Arabic word expressing the hopeful declaration that you will die before someone you love deeply, because you cannot stand to live without them. Literally, “may you bury me.”
